Walid ElMoudir established ChemProcess Consulting & Services Ltd. in 2023. Dr. ElMoudir is a seasoned chemical engineer with more than two decades of international experience in process design and simulation across gas treating, decarbonization, and water and chemical purification technologies. His career reflects a strong focus on advancing energy transition solutions and optimizing industrial processes for efficiency and sustainability.

Dr. ElMoudir worked on optimizing the trade‑secret and patented carbon capture process known as Thermal Kinetics Optimization (TKO), originally developed jointly by the International Test Centre for Carbon Dioxide Capture at the University of Regina and Hydrogen Technologies Corp. (HTC Purenergy Inc.), which utilizes University of Regina amine solvents.

He also developed the trade‑secret carbon capture process for Hydrogen Technologies Corp. (HTC Purenergy Inc.) and later Delta CleanTech Inc., known as the Low Cost Design (LCDesign) technology. He invented the patented solvent amine reclamation technology known as the Delta Reclaimer, based on his Ph.D. research at the University of Regina (2012). Scovan Group Inc. acquired Delta CleanTech’s carbon capture and related purification assets, including the technologies he developed, in early 2025.

Dr. Walid ElMoudir has contributed as a Research Collaborator at the University of Calgary and the University of Guelph, served as a long‑standing reviewer for leading chemical engineering journals. He chaired the 2025 Carbon Capture and Hydrogen Technology Expo North America (Houston, USA). His role as a Foundation Member of the International CCUS Technology Innovation & Cooperation Organization (Beijing, China) further underscores his international leadership in carbon capture and decarbonization.

Dr. ElMoudir is a Registered Professional Engineer with both the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and Saskatchewan (APEGS), underscoring his adherence to the highest professional standards in Canada. He also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI), demonstrating his ability to integrate technical expertise with structured project leadership.
